Southend Business Navigator
The newly appointed Southend Business Navigator will aim to continue the great work of the BEST Growth Hub in Southend.
They will provide businesses with support in the form of signposting to the appropriate help where available.

Deyton Bell: Southend Business Lift-Off
This project will offer five different services to entrepreneurs in Southend. Deyton Bell will provide a triage service to entrepreneurs to identify their needs and the best routes to meet these.
- pre-start will be supported to assist aspirational entrepreneurs to develop viable business ideas
- new start-ups will be supported with the development of businesses less than 12 months old
- early-stage businesses (1-3 years old) will be supported with development
All entrepreneurs will receive ongoing pro bono support for the following 12 months. This will be in the form of a peer group and helpline.

Let’s Do Business Group: Finance advice for business
This project will provide support to small and micro businesses.
An expert business advisor will support the business in planning for and accessing finance to help sustain and develop:
- the development of action plans
- the creation of financial forecasts
- access to finance
- steps for moving forward

Their partnership with Southend-On-Sea City Council will help reach women - and non-binary people - across the city who desire to become entrepreneurs - to build their confidence and provide them with practical know-how and tools to make the leap from having a business idea to being a business-owner!

Are you an aspiring businesswoman who doesn’t quite know how to get started? With we are radikl’s “how to start your start-up” course, you can discover the building blocks to get your business off the ground in the comfort of your own home! Run over 6 weeks this online course will identify your target customer, develop your first business plan and, most importantly, make sure you are in the best position to get started.

Women and non-binary founders in the first six months of their start-up journey based in Southend-on-Sea.

Rise
So you’ve made the leap. You’ve launched your start-up and you’re working hard to turn your big idea into everything you know it can be. If you’re impatient for growth, ambitious for more and ready to take your business to the next level, the Rise accelerator programme is made for you. It’s a fully funded three-month part-time programme, designed for ambitious women, by ambitious women and delivered online.
Who can apply?
Women and non-binary founders who’ve started a business within the last 12-24 months based in Southend-on-Sea.
