New Director for Southend City BID
The Board of Southend's Business Improvement District (BID) has been strengthened with the addition of the City College's Principal, Nicki Kelly.
Nicki brings a wealth of experience from the education sector and adds to the skills of the other board members who shape and lead the BID's strategic direction.
"We are delighted to welcome Nicki as a new Board Director. The College is a significant player for the BID Zone's prosperity and I'm sure this formal connection will be highly positive for all concerned." Said George Beijko-Cowlbeck, BID Chair.
Nicki has been working in the Further Education sectors for 20+ years and is the Southend City College Principal. She has an extensive passion for learning at all levels. She is a qualified teacher and has over six years of senior management experience. Her areas of expertise include curriculum development, quality of education, teaching and learning. Nicki has linked the College into several of the BID's projects and is very happy to join its Board "I am very keen to enhance the community in and around Southend and for Southend City to be one of the best."
The BID funds and manages the City Centre's Street Rangers along with many initiatives and events to improve the look and feel of the City Centre.
