Notice: The Pier train will be out of action until further notice whilst emergency works are undertaken.

Members of the public are still able to enjoy the pier on foot. Please note that the Pier is of course the longest pleasure pier in the world so a round trip walk will be almost three miles, though the cafe will be open for a welcome rest.

Opening and closing times during this period are as follows:
08:15 - 20:00 Mon - Sun (last entry on the pier at 19:00)

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council apologises for this inconvenience however the safety of the general public is, as always, of the utmost importance.
